Here are some of the grade level postcards I created for our schoolwide mail system, Barracuda Express. The students will use the postcards to write messages to other students. The postcards will personalize their messages that they write to students in the different grade levels. I have also created postcards for staff. Our custodian says she is going to try and write every student by the end of the year. How cool is that?!

Barracuda Express
We have just started our school mail system. Students and parents/community members may write to students by just dropping their letters in the big Barracuda mail box by the office. Each classroom has a real mailbox mounted outside their classroom. The teachers were encouraged to paint and think of a classroom address. I also designed postcards for each grade level to put that extra "FUN" factor into it. Our mail delivery system was made possible by a community grant , and has really encouraged kids to write, and say nice things to each other. The teachers are also receiving mail. The following is a list of some of our room addresses....so clever

Off and Running
Well, I'm off......I am still deciding if I like the background on my blog. My 10 year old daughter absolutely loves the avocado green background, so I will leave that for a bit.
